Ebenfall bei Star Online: Ein Interview mit John Woo. Der Discovery Channel hat eine Dokumentation über den Wegbereiter des Heroic Bloodshed gedreht.

Woo bestätigt im Gespräch einmal mehr seine Ambition, ein großes chinesisches Historienepos zu drehen:

“I want to make a movie in China because it’s such a beautiful country, and there’re so many great stories to tell. I’ve always wanted to do The Romance of the Three Kingdoms, about the famous civil war some 3,000 years ago. At that time China was separated into three parts and they were all against each other. So I just wanted to make a historical epic in China. It would look pretty much like the Japanese director Akira Kurosawa’s type of movies.”
